Police have initiated searching for individuals who present themselves as famous Indian fortune tellers and allegedly stay in Sri Lanka exceeding one month tourist visa.

A number of cases where the forged fortune tellers exploit up-country community with their fake identity have been reported to the Police.

They are reported to be charging high prices over 5000 rupees to perform auspicious duties.
