The recently increased Value Added Taxes (VAT) will ultimately burden the general public, leader of Lanka Sama Samaja Party Prof. Tissa Vitharana said.
Speaking at a press briefing organized by the Socialist Alliance he said medium scale businesses are also affected by the VAT changes.
General Secretary of the Communist Party of Sri Lanka D.E.W. Gunasekara also expressed his views about the matter.
