Bogala graphite employees continue the underground protest

The protest by miners in a graphite mine in Bogala is continuing. Over 50 workers are protested 1675ft underground.

The protest is in relation to several issues including a salary increment of five thousand rupees.

When our news team contacted the management of Bogala Graphite, its Chief Executive Officer Amila Jayasinghe said that the company does not have the financial ability to fulfil the demands of the employees.
