The founder of National Naa Mal Uyana Rev. Rahula Thera says that enormous iron wood trees, a.k.a. Naa (Mesua Ferra) face threats of endanger.

The Thera says that some of the iron wood trees in the premises are as old as 1500 years.

The Naa Mal Uyana is spread over 972 acres of land which also bear colorful minerals and semi-precious stones.

The Thera emphasizes on the urge to implement measures to save the ancient trees in Naa Mal Uyana premises.
