A Survey On Stray Dogs Initiated

A survey looking at public views on stray dogs was initiated at three location in Colombo this morning.

The Cabinet recently approved preparation of a mechanism to reduce the difficulties caused by stray dogs in public areas.

A committee was appointed to carry out a study and prepare a report with regard to this matter.

Ministry of Secretaries of Provincial Councils and Local Governments, Health and Indigenous Medicine, Livestock Development and Community Development, Western Provincial Council Commissioner, and Colombo Municipal Council Veterinarians are members of this committee.

Provincial Councils and Local Governments Minister Faizer Mustapha further explained about the inauguration of the gathering of public views.
