A special programme is to be put in place to monitor the hygienic conditions of the food and beverage served at Vesak dansals throughout the country.
The Public Health Inspectors’ Association (PHIA) is on high alert concerning the cleanliness and quality of the food and beverages offered at dansal.
Speaking to Hiru news, the PHIA President Upul Rohana said all field PHIs numbering about 920 have been advised to inspect the dansal organised in their regions. Dansal organizers are requested to meet the PHIs in their areas and obtain instructions prior to the organization of the dansal. He said the inspection of dansal will be continued throughout the Vesak week.
He said the registration is required for both food and beverage dansal organizers.
