Special Investigation by National Police Commission on Disappearance of Mayomi Sanjeewani

National Police Commission has initiated a special investigation on the disappearance of Mayomi Sanjeewani- a student of Nilwala teaching College, Akuressa.

Mother of Mayomi Sanjeewani lodged a complaint in National police Commission on 4th April against the CID, stating that the lethargic CID investigations are suspicious.

The mother petitioned that she fear a political force slows the proceedings.

Mayomi Sanjeewani mysteriously went missing since 20th September 2013.

By the time of the mysterious abduction, Mayomi Sanjeewani was a student of Nilwala teaching College, Akuressa. On the unfortunate day, she had left the home to go to Hakmana town to buy a jacket piece.

Meanwhile, the case reagarding Mayomi Sanjeewani’s disappearance is taken for hearing at Deyyandara Magistrate Court on 16th this month.
