Basil’s Wife and Daughter Request More Time to Appear before PRECIFAC

Former minister of Economic Development Basil Rajapaksa’s wife and daughter have been summoned before the Presidential Commission of Inquiry on massive fraud and corruption (PRECIFAC) today. 

They have been summoned to record a statement with regard to the investigation in connection with domestic air travel they made during the Rajapaksa regime.

However a Commission’s spokesman told our news team that the wife and daughter have informed the commission of their inability to appear today, as they are currently out of the country. 

They failed to report to the commission despite notice being given,  to do so on May 05th .

The Former minister reported to the commission yesterday, to give a statement in connection with the use of aircraft belonging to the Sri Lanka air force during the Rajapaksa regime.
