Body of a man found in Nilaweli River- [CCTV footage]

Police have found the body of a man who drowned in Nilaweli River, Morawaka, last evening.

The 38-year-old man, who was drunk, has fallen while he was crossing a bridge with another person.

A CCTV footage depicting how the man arrived on a motorbike was found from a shop in close vicinity to the scene.

Relatives of the deceased has lodged a complaint to the police regarding the incident.

What had happened to the man was revealed following questioning from his companion.

Morawaka police is conducting an investigation into the incident.
