Polish train conductor hailed as a hero after saving lives

A western Poland railcar driver was hailed as a hero after he saved passengers from a train crash.

The train was to crash into a truck that was stranded on the tracks.

Footage of the incident was posted online. The driver Mateusz Szymanski was seen rushing through the vehicle as he warned passengers.

The passengers have escaped by throwing themselves on the floor.
