A total of 4186 families and 3616 people has being affected by the adverse weather conditions prevailing around the island, the Disaster Management Centre stated.

The most number of affected people are reported from the Western Province, with a total of 1587 from Colombo and 256 from Kalutara districts.

The affected families includes 3000 in Kolonnawa, 400 in Seethawaka and 100 in Thimbirigasyaya areas in the Colombo district.

Total number of people affected in the Western Province is 1843.

Meanwhile, 905 people were affected in Galle, 521 were affected in Kurunegala and 156 in Ratnapura.
