Hotlines to inform about road blockages and displaced

The Road Development Authority (RDA) has introduced a hotline to report about road blockages, landslide situations near roads and other disasters taking place due to the severe weather conditions.

The RDA is requesting the public to call the hotline- 1968 to provide the information.

Meanwhile, the public can call hotline 1919 and inform President Maithripala Sirisena if government agents or officers have not reached disaster stricken areas yet.

Through ‘Tell the President’ steps will be taken to ensure immediate reliefs to those who affected under the direct intervention of the Secretary to the President P.B. Abeykoon, state media stated.
