Around 50 families have been evacuated from their dwellings due to landslide threats in Kegalle.

The Divisional Secretariat elaborated 25 families each, from Deewela and Nikapitiya villages in Kegalle had been taken to safer locations.

Meanwhile, SLTB has volunteered to provide free transport service to flood victims upon the request of Divisional Secretary.

Moreover, Health Services Director, Dr. Palitha Mahipala told that hospital Island-wide are prepared to provide health services at any emergency.
