Extreme Weather Death Toll Rises to 63; 425,691 People Affected Island-wide

The death toll from the disaster situation affecting several parts of the country has increased to 63 by now.

The Disaster Management Centre said that 313 195 persons have been displaced while overall 425 691 persons have been affected by the inclement weather.

Meanwhile, 144 persons have been reported missing following the landslide at Saamasara Kanda in Aranayake.
