PM Advises Finance Minister to Prepare Proposals to Provide Relief to Disaster Hit Masses

The natural disasters including the recent landslides and floods that devastated many areas of the island were discussed in parliament this morning. 

Addressing the house, Prime Minister Ranil Wickremesinghe said that he has already advised the fiancé minister to prepare a series of new proposals to provide relief to the victims.

Meanwhile Finance Minister Ravi Karunanayake said that the President and the Prime Minister have instructed him to exempt taxes all disaster relief goods arriving from overseas.
