At least 78 people were killed, after 4 bombings hit 2 government strongholds on Syria's Mediterranean coast, while a monitoring group put the death toll at more than 145.

Two bombs exploded at the main entrance of Jableh town's bus station, while a suicide bomber also blew himself up at the entrance of the emergency department at Jableh National Hospital.

The 4th blast occurred near the offices of Jableh's electricity directorate, on the outskirts of the Amara residential district.

A news agency linked to so-called Islamic State said the jihadist group was behind the attacks.
