Wild Elephant Attacks Foreign Couple, Man Killed

A foreigner was killed and his female companion injured when a wild elephant attacked them while they were riding on a motorbike at Habarana this afternoon, police sources stated.

They have faced this accident while travelling to Habarana from Sigiriya en route by way.

The injured woman has been admitted to the Habarana Hospital.

The remains of the deceased are deposited at the Dambulla hospital pending an autopsy.
