Former Sri Lankan Ambassador to Russia Udayanga Weeratunga says that he is rallying Sri Lankan expatriates against the Good governance regime.

Releasing a communiqué to the media today, he noted that he does not intend to assist the hunt of the good governance rulers by returning to the island.

While charging the government for spreading false rumours, he further noted that if the government intends to hunt, he would stand against and cause maximum anxiety to them.

Weeratunga strongly denied the charges against him, saying that he provided weapons to the Ukraine militants, and also stated that he can meet former President Mahinda Rajapaksa in any part of the world.

Udayanga Weeratunga also stated that he is currently living in the capital city of Ukraine, and questions if he has allegedly committed such an offence, why the Ukraine government has not taken any legal action against him as yet.
