Former President Mahinda Rajapaksa’s son Yoshitha Rajapaksa appeared before the FCID today.

He was summoned to give a statement in connection with the investigations on CSN channel.

Former Presidential Chief of Staff Gamini Senarath was summoned to the Police Special Investigation Division today, with regard to an investigation into obtaining a sum of 1260 million rupees from a private bank during the last presidential election.

In addition, artiste Jackson Anthony was summoned to the Presidential Commission of inquiry in to massive fraud and corruption today.

The artiste was summoned to give a statement with regard to spending a sum of 113 million rupees for the Karadiyawara Mangalyaya ceremony held in Hambantota Port.

 Vice Chairman of D.A. Rajapaksa Fund Upul Dissanayake was released on bail after producing before Gampaha Magistrate’s court today.

Gampaha Magistrate Kavindya Nanayakkara ordered to release the vice Chairman on cash bail of 50 thousand rupees and three surety bails of 500 thousand rupees each.

Former Minister Rohitha Abeygunawardena, who was produced before courts was granted bail by the Colombo High Court today.

He was called before the courts for the hearing of the case related to the allegations of unlawful acquisition of assets amounting to over 40 million rupees levelled against the former minister.

High court judge, Nishannka Bandula Karunaratne handed over the indictment when the former minister appeared before courts today.
