PM welcomes SL’s first woman who reached the Everest summit

Prime Minister Ranil Wickremesinghe has welcomed Jayanthi Kuru-Utumpala and fellow climber Yohan Peiris who returned to the country after successfully reaching the Mount Everest Summit.

They were welcomed by the Premier at the Katunayaka airport.

He later left the country to attend the Rotary International Convention in Seoul, South Korea, where over 50,000 participants from 160 countries will take part in.

Premier will also deliver a special speech during the event.
