Relatives of the mother of two who died by self-immolation has complained that the police had failed to carry out law and order properly.

The mother, 37, from Bandaragama area died of grave burnt injuries on Friday.

She was the wife of a coordinating secretary of Deputy Minister Ajith P. Perera.

Following the death her brother has lodged a complaint at the police. A senior officer at the Bandaragama Police stated that a second post mortem was conducted into the death.
