Several politicians expressed their views on relief programmes for those who are affected by extreme weather.
Minister John Amarathunge said that the Joint Opposition team was doing nothing but criticizing processes and the government. He elaborated that the government is ready to pay a compensation of 10,000 rupee to whose houses are to be repaired, 3,000 to buy any need along with goods and equipment that are distributed.
Meanwhile, Minister Arjuna Ranathunga also expressed his views on the same subject at a medical camp in Mabola, Wattala.
The government has allocated a large sum of money for relief programs but those are not carried out of with massive promotional campaigns like the last regime.
Wimal Weerawansa also expressed his view at a ceremony to distribute stationary to students who were victimized of flood in Kaduwela.
