Two Demolished Schools in Jaffna Re-opened after 26 Years

Two schools in Jaffna, which were dilapidated by the civil war in the North was reopened yesterday.

President Maithreepala Sirisena appointed two principals and handed over the responsibility to re-establish the two schools at the same venues on 12th March this year.

The two schools, namely Nadeswara College and Nadeswara Middle School in Kankasanthurai (KKS), Jaffna were festively opened in the presence of the Tamil National Alliance parliamentarian MavaiSenathirajah, Provincial Education Minister Thambirajah Kurukularajahand Zonal Director of Education V. S. Santhirarajah.

The schools started its teaching process yesterday after 26 years.
