No room for Political influence when awarding lands for those affected by recent disasters

President Maithripala Sirisena has approved the methodology in providing lands and houses for those recently affected by the landslides in the Kegalle District.

This was stated at a special discussion held at the Presidential Secretariat under his leadership.

Lands for resettlement have been identified while they include lands belonging to private estates.

President Sirisena has given out instructions to ensure that lands are provided only to the affected persons without giving in to political influence or malpractices.
