Senior Scientist at NASA Professor Sarath Gunapala says that Sri Lanka which is located close to the equator will experience more effects of climate change in the near future.

He expressed these views at a media briefing that was held yesterday in Yatiyanthota.

Professor Sarath Gunapala further stated that the US has already put in a satellite in to orbit to monitor countries which emit excessive quantities of CO2 to the environment.
