Former Additional Magistrate Thilina Gamage appeared before the CID this morning to give a statement over the alleged unlawful possession of an elephant calf.
Gamage was summoned on several occasions earlier by the CID. However he had repeatedly failed to appear at the CID.
He filed an anticipatory bail application at the Gangodawila Magistrate Courts. On June 2, he was granted bail on a cash bail of Rs 500,000 and four sureties of Rs 2.5 million each by the Nugegoda Magistrate Kanishka Wijerathna.
