The first time in Sri Lankan history event is arranged upon guidance of President Maithripala Sirisena.

The last official mansion of Dutch in Colombo Fort was captured by British in 1804 and converted it into the British Governor’s Office.

The mansion remained to be the Governor’s office even after the independence and was renamed as President’s house after Sri Lanka became a Republic 1972.

The President’s House mansion in Colombo Fort has accommodated twenty nine (29) Governors and six (6) heads of states.
