People’s problems should be solved to create national unity; PM

If people’s basic needs can be met, creating national unity is not a hard task, Prime Minister Ranil Wickremesinghe said.

He shared these views whilst attending a meeting in the Eastern Provincial Council.

The meeting was convened by the Prime Minister to discuss the further development of the Eastern Province.

Prime Minister stated that as Sri Lanka would be developed in to a major hub in the Indian Ocean, the Eastern Province would play a major role.

Eastern Province Chief Minister and members of the Eastern Provincial Council participated in the event.
