Army Commander Lieutenant General Krishantha De Silva stated that nearly 80 per cent of ammunition debris in the vicinity of the Salawa Army Camp have been cleared by now.

This was addressing a media briefing at the Special Operations Unit at the Salawa Camp.

Meanwhile, Minister of Law and Order and Southern Province Development Sagala Rathnayaka and State Minister of Defence Ruwan Wijewardana visited the Salawa area yesterday and looked in to the grievances of the people.

Prime Minister Ranil Wickremesinghe is expected to once again visit the area tomorrow.
