The All Ceylon Ayurvedic Health Services Union says it will launch a trade union action from today in protest of failing to grant allowances in arrears for their services.

Representative of the union Gamini Koslanda said the trade union action was launched at all government Ayurveda bodies from 6 am to 12 noon yesterday and on Monday.

Kosland demanded the special 1,000 rupee allowance granted to a section of the Ayurveda employees to be granted to all Ayurveda employees.

He said the union will be forced to take serious measures, if the government fails to provide a favourable response.
