A Low Pressure Area Likely to Develop in the Northern Bay of Bengal

A low pressure area is likely to develop in the Northern Bay of Bengal during next few days.

Therefore, showery and windy conditions are expected to enhance to some extent in the South-western parts of the Island from today evening.

Strong winds at times can be expected over the island and the surrounding sea areas.

The deep and shallow sea areas around the island can be very rough at times as the wind speed can be increased up to 60 to 70 kilo meters per hour.
