The+President+And+Prime+Minister+Pay+Their+Last+Respects+To+Former+Minister+Alavi+Moulana

The final rites of former Minister and former Governor of Western Province Alavi Moulana, was held at the Dehiwela Muslim burial grounds, this evening.

Alavi Moulana passed away, while receiving treatment at a private hospital.

He was 84 years of age.

President Maithripala Sirisena and several politicians including Former President Chandrika Bandaranaike Kumaranatunga, paid their last respects today.

Prime Minister Ranil Wickremesinghe also paid his last respects, when late Alavi Moulana’s remains were brought to the Dehiwela Muslim Burial grounds.
