Various opinions have been raised among Port Authority trade unions over the minister in charge placing several orders to produce some furniture at the Port Authority workshop at Slave Island.

Port Authority officials convened a media conference yesterday with regard to this incident and stated that all orders, placed by the minister have followed respective legal procedures.

Joint Trade Union Collective and Pragathishili Nidahas Sevaka Sangamaya convened media conferences today to respond to the statements made by Port Authority officials at the media briefing held yesterday.
