The Government Medical Officers’ Association says that students who graduated from Malabe private medical college also known as SAITM have applied to be registered under the Sri Lanka Medical Association.

Secretary of the GMOA Dr. Nalinda Herath noted that these students do not have any legal provision to apply for the registration.

Elaborating on the matter, Dr. Herath also noted that if measures are taken to register the medical students of SAITM, the GMOA will enter a serious trade union action.
