An investigation has commenced under the supervision of the Chilaw ASPwith regard to an incident where UPFA Parliamentarian Sanath Nishantha reprimanded a group of police officers.

Police stated that the MP had reprimanded officers on duty at a police check point in Chilaw- Deduru Oya on Friday.

The vehicle which belonged to the MP was stopped at the check point and the driver did not possess revenue license or insurance documentation.

Following this incident, an argument broke out between the driver and the police officers and the MP had arrived at the location and reprimanded the police officers.
