The ministry has received applications from 160 GMOA members thus far and action has been already taken for providing schools for children of officers who have made fair requests.
Ministry added the requests of many GMOA members are not fair and also that they have not provided the required particulars.
In the communiqué the education ministry has cited as a cases in point several instances like the application by a doctor transferred to Bemmulla in Gampaha for admission of his child to the Colombo D. S. Senanayake Vidyalaya.
The release finally mentions that the relevant humane situation should be understood correctly.
