The second group of the second contingent of Sri Lanka Air Force (SLAF) Aviation Unit under the United Nations Mission in the Republic of South Sudan (UNMISS) departed the country early hours on 20 June 2016.
This is the second group of the second contingent consisting with 49 SLAF Personnel.
Simultaneously the second group of the first contingent of the Air Force Aviation Unit in South Sudan (UNMISS) arrived Sri Lanka early yesterday (21st June) on completion of 12 month tenure in South Sudan.
Senior Officers of the SLAF and the families of both departing and arriving SLAF teams present at the Bandaranaike International Airport.
