Dengue is being rapidly spread with commence of South Western monsoon rains, says Ministry of health.

The ministry noted that special programmes will be initiated all over the Island to control or stop the spread of the plague.

18735 dengue patients have been recorded so far where as the most number comes from the Western province.

Meanwhile, dengue death told has rise to 24 in this season.
