The Government Medical Officers Association says that they condemn the attack by Police on the Medical Faculty Students.

Politburo member of the Frontline Socialist Party Chameera Koswatte stated that this was an attack on the whole society.

Also commenting on the issue Convenor of the Inter-University Students Federation Lahiru Weerasekara stated that they would continue their struggle until the SAITM Private Medical College in Malabe is closed.

Meanwhile, Chairman of the Medical Council Professor Carlo Fonseka said that there is no change in their stance that it was unsuitable for SAITM to continue as a Private Medical College.
