Police Apprehends 91Kgs of Kerala Marijuana in Jaffna

Jaffna Police STF apprehended two suspects at the Jaffna Acchuveli – Valalaai coastal belt along with approximately 91.5 kilogrammes of Kerala cannabis in a raid carried out yesterday. The raid was conducted following a tip-off received by police STF camp officers.

The police said that this stock of  Kerala marijuana had been illegally brought into the country from India by sea.

The arrested suspects are residents of Walalaai and Ilavaalai in Jaffna aged 24 years and 34 years. 

Both suspects are scheduled to be produced before the Mallaakam magistrate court today.
