Customs have arrested two Chinese nationals at the Bandaranayake International Airport (BIA) while trying to smuggle out three invaluable statues.

They were arrested around 12.15 am today (29) as they waited to board a Chinese Airline flight to Chengdu.

Customs Officials are conducting further investigations into the incident.
