The US Ambassador to Sri Lanka Atul Keshap says that the United States will be presenting a 40 million dollar grant to Sri Lanka this year.
Addressing a seminar in Colombo yesterday, the US Ambassador said the US-Sri Lanka Commerce and Investment Planning meeting will be held in April next year in Washington.
He further said that several decisions with regard to the Sri Lankan economy will be taken during that meeting.
In addition, a loan of 1.5 billion dollars will be granted to Sri Lanka early next month. Ambassador Keshap stressed that the United States will continue to extend its support to approve the loan.
