The Sri Lanka Navy (SLN) says Former Lieutenant Yoshitha Rajapaksa will be penalized after investigations against him are completed.
Navy Media Spokesperson Captain Akram Alavi said Yoshitha Rajapaksa has only received approval for 24 foreign tours out of the 74 visits he has engaged in.
When journalists enquired from Navy Media Spokesman Captain Akram Alevi during the cabinet briefing yesterday (29), why legal action has not been taken against former president Mahinda Rajapaksa’s son Yoshitha Rajapaksa.
Expressing his views on the matter the Navy Media Spokesman noted that a Summary trial against Yoshitha Rajapaksa commenced and during the hearing he was arrested on the 30th of January.
He also noted that Yoshitha has been interdicted on the 28th of February.
