The NFF media spokesman, former MP Mohammad Musammil was remanded again today until July 7.
Musammil was produced before Fort Additional Magistrate Lanka Jayarathna this morning.
The former MP has been accused of misusing government vehicles during the Rajapaksa administration and the misappropriation of state funds amounting to 6.2 million rupees state funds.
The FCID earlier informed Court that Musammil, after his defeat in the 2010 election, had not returned his official vehicles.
He had also claimed one such vehicles at his private vehicle and, later used it during his tenure as director of the State Engineering Corporation.
At the same time, he had claimed a transport allowance of nearly 6.2 million rupees from the State Engineering Corporation and deposited the money in his wife’s bank account.
FCID also recorded a statement from Musammil’s wife Nadika Harshani.
