The Colombo Grand Mosque said Muslims in Sri Lanka will celebrate Eid-ul-Fitr, festival ending Ramadan, today as the new moon has been sighted.

President Maithripala Sirisena in a message to mark the Ramazan festival said Id-Ul-Fitr, marks an event of purification that brings divinity closer to the human being.

Prime Minister Ranil Wickremesinghe said Ramazan brings a message of peaceful co-existence, sharing and harmony to all.
