The commission to find missing persons established upon a scheme of the United Nations Human Rights Council (UNHRC) is condemned by the Joint Opposition as a threat to the integrity of Sri Lanka.

The accusation was made by former External Affairs Minister Prof. G.L. Peiris at a press conference held in Colombo today.

Lanka Sama Samaja Party chief secretary Prof. Thissa Vitharana was also present at the press conference.

However, he noted that accusations on the new Central Bank Governor Dr. Indrajith Coomaraswamy for aiding LTTE are trustless and baseless.
