Prime Minister Ranil Wickremesinghe told parliament today that neither the Indian fishermen nor their boats that had been taken into custody while fishing in Sri Lankan waters will be released.

The Premier stated this in response to a question raised by Chief Opposition Whip MP Anura Kumara Dissanayake with regard to Indo-Sri Lankan fishermen’s dispute.

During the parliamentary session, Joint Opposition MP Wasudeva Nanayakkara also questioned the Prime Minister and stated that the people affected by the recent flood and landslides have not received relief as yet.
