About 152,000kg of fish were exported to European countries from July first to 10th, Ministry of Fisheries and Aquatic Resource Development said.

This comes after the European Union lifted the ban on fish exports from Sri Lanka on 21st last month.

The ministry stated that there is a high demand for Sri Lankan fish from Europe.

Since the ban Sri Lanka lost Rs. 18 000 million annually.

The Ministry of Fisheries and Aquatic Resource Development expects to earn Rs. 20 000 million by the end of next year.
