Prime Minister Ranil Wickremesinghe said that there no apprehension in welcoming Chinese investment to Sri Lanka.
Prime Minister Wickremesinghe who is on an official tour to Singapore, told local journalists that Sri Lanka is ready to welcome investors from any country including China.
He further said that Sri Lanka is prepared to sign agreements with China, India, Singapore and Japan in the future.
Expressing his views realting to the Colombo Port City Project, Premier Wickremesinghe said that Sri Lanka’s economic goal is to become Asia’s economic hub.
Meanwhile Prime Minister Ranil Wickremesinghe delivered the key note address at the Asian Diaspora Summit held at Raffles Conference Hall this morning.
In addition, the Premier had bilateral discussions with his Singaporean counterpart Li Sin Lung and president of Singapore Tony Tang.
At the same time, Prime Minister’s Media Office stated that the Premier is scheduled to sign five agreements today.
