Prime Minister Ranil Wickremesinghe and his Singaporean counterpart Lee Siang Loong signed five MoU’s today, one leading to a Freed Trade Agreement between the two countries.
These agreements which were signed at Istana palace in Singapore will allow the two countries to develop commerce, urban and cultural development, public service and technical and skill development sectors. Development strategies and international trade minister Malik Samarawickrama and Singaporean Commerce and Industry minister S. Easwaran signed to the MoU which will lead to the Sri Lanka- Singapore Free Trade Agreement.
Secretary of the Mega polis Ministry Nihal Rupasinghe and CEO of the Singaporean International Enterprise Institute Tang Soon Kim signed to the MoU with regard to Western Province Megapolis development project.
Having signed the bilateral agreements, visiting Prime Minister Ranil Wickremesinghe said that all factions will be able to benefit from these new agreements.
